Over 100 new access points in Montijo
When cities grow, their systems must grow with them. The municipality of Montijo in Portugal responded to this challenge and – together with our partner WasteToMe – introduced more than 100 new access points for waste disposal. This initiative harmonizes cleanliness, control, and modern urban living.

Project overview
By implementing card‑based access control, the public space remains clean and well‑organized – even with a growing population. The technology ensures that disposal processes are fair, traceable, and responsible.
Card‑based access control: authorized access via card prevents misuse and enables fair, accountable use.
Digital Infrastructure: creates a foundation for traceability, order, and long‑term partnership in digital waste management.
The project was carried out in close cooperation with our partner WasteToMe, with whom we maintain a strong, trust‑based relationship. Together, we create solutions that unite digital waste management with improved urban living conditions.

Card‑Based access control
Card‑based access control enables a secure, convenient, and transparent way to manage access areas.
By using modern chip or RFID cards, access is granted only to authorized individuals without the need for keys or manual checks.
The system verifies authorization within seconds and grants access automatically. All access events are digitally recorded, making usage fully traceable and easy to analyze.
This automated approach not only increases security but also improves the efficiency of daily waste‑collection operations. Personnel requirements are reduced, workflows become faster, and access management remains clear and transparent.
The technology can be flexibly integrated into existing systems and is ideal for a wide variety of applications – from companies and industrial sites to municipal facilities.
